TMC (TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION) announced the unveiling in Japan of the compact luxury sedan 'SAI', which is planned to go on sale in Japan on December 7.

 

The Sai is based on a concept derived from the Japanese word sai--which means "talent" when written as "" and "coloration" when written as ""--as a hybrid-only sedan "combining advanced talent and multi-color sophistication".

Ractis with 1.5L engine (2WD) have achieved 18.6km/L*¹(+ 0.6km/L*¹ than conventional model) through the improvement of the engine, transmission, and alternator. Surpassing the 2010 Fuel Efficiency Standard by 15% or more.  In addition Ractis already has qualified for the 75% lower than the 2005 Emission Standard, now buyers of Ractis is eligible for the 50% tax relief of vehicle acquisition tax and vehicle weight tax.

Partial improvements to Auris with 1.8L engine have been made by adopting TOYOTA's 'Valvematic' engine and paddle shift (excl. "RS"), also the new "RS" grade recently added to the line up has the 6-speed manual transmission installed.

 

As for the exterior, there were design changes for the engine-hood, head-lamp, front grill/ bumper/ spoiler, rear combination lamp/ bumper.  7 colors, including newly added 4 colors (Metallic Silver, Metallic Gray, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Cobalt blue), are available for the outer panel.

Among 1.8L engine vehicles, "180G S package" (2WD)'s fuel efficiency surpassed the 2010 Fuel Efficiency Standard by 25% or more, while "RS" with 4WD surpassed the same by 15% or more.  Vehicles with 1.5L engine surpassed the same by 15% or more through the improvement of engine, transmission, and alternator. In addition to all vehicles in the same series which already have qualified for the 75% lower than the 2005 Emission Standards, now Auris complies with the tax relief of vehicle acquisition tax and vehicle weight tax.

ISIS has been made partial improvements by adopting TOYOTA's 'Valvematic' engine and combined with Super CVT-i, which increases fuel efficiency and smooth driving. It places ISIS in the top-level fuel efficiency among vehicles of the same displacement class.

 

 Improvement of fuel efficiency:

Vehicles with 1.8L engine have achieved 16.4km/L*¹(2WD)/ 13.6km/L*¹(4WD), and its fuel efficiency surpassed the 2010 Fuel Efficiency Standard by 25% or more.  While 2.0L engine vehicles have achieved 15.2km/L*¹ and its fuel efficiency surpassed the same by 15% or more.  Also all vehicles in the same series have qualified the 75% lower than the 2005 Emission Standards.

Now ISIS complies with the tax relief of vehicle acquisition tax and vehicle weight tax, and the ratios are 75% for 1.8L and 50% for 2.0L vehicles.
